Abstract
Beloved follows the story of a mother who tried to shield her children from a life of slavery by committing infanticide. Beloved suggests that if the U.S government encourages the growth of one race at the expense of another, a true commitment to the general welfare and liberty of its citizens will never be achieved. The US government should focus on protecting prosperity, extinguishing conditional social assistance, and preserving the individuality of every single person.
