Abstract

My research and creative activities center around the creation of projects that generate re-usable digital content, processes, and raw-footage to be used in many of the Film & Digital Media post courses offered at UNG. In addition, I seek out interdisciplinary/service learning projects such as the Spaces and Places collaborative between GIS, History, and Communication, Media & Journalism (CMJ).

The two projects proposed for the UNG Faculty Research Day 2015 are creative, interdisciplinary projects involving students from the UNG Theatre's Stage Combat course and CMJ’s Cinematography course, as well as UNG colleagues. Both projects generated high-resolution, quality, original footage used as raw-footage in two UNG Film & Digital Media courses, as well as examples and resources to demonstrate the process of various digital effects within motion pictures.

A short selection of digital clips showing the stages of the visual effects--in conjunction with support material to illustrate the interdisciplinary nature of the creative works--will be available for use within the event.
