Abstract
Frida Kahlo captured the beauty of indigenous Mexican culture through the use of vivid colors, Mexican mythology allusions, and aspects of religion. In addition, her work subjects her personal tragedies and realities. She also used her platform to support her political beliefs as well as to be a focal point for gender equality. She was openly a feminist and empowered Mexican womanhood. Her work and legacy are about hope, feminine power, and cultural empowerment.
